🛑SOAS FACT Day 18🛑

🛑“South West Acute Hospital is now delivering more elective activity than it has at any point in its history”🛑

Thanks to the Impartial Reporter.

We are concerned :-

Minister Nesbitt this week says we have 15.3 sessions per week in SWAH Stormont.

WHSCT surgical lead says 19.5 session per week in May to Fermanagh and Omagh District Council during a presentation to the Council’s Health Committee.

Based simply on the information the Health Minister has brought forward here, we note that these statistics seem to demonstrate a significant reduction in services- it seems that theatre session are down by 20% or 210 sessions.

A “session” is a morning or an afternoon list- so potentially 840 fewer patients having their procedures.

We do not understand how this could be considered positive trend?

We do hope that clarification is sent…..
