Was there “Approval” or “Support” from Department of Health for the Western Trust to remove surgery?

Since no risks were assessed in removing surgery from our population. so who holds accountability and responsibility? is it WHSCT or the Department of Health. We are very concerned about governance and about oversight. We deserve to be treated equally in this province. Simply that.

This seems to be a difference of opinion on a fundamental matter here. Complicated by the fact that no minutes were recorded of a fundamental meeting.

BOTH these views were “impressed” on the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council in a special Council meeting called on 17th November 2022…

There was a strange “confusion” and some “corrections” made -one that they WHSCT had support and WHSCT approval from the Department of Health.

We note here, the Western trust believe they asked for “approval” from the Department of health to remove emergency general surgery… But the Department of Health respond that they only gave “support.”

both CANNOT be correct.

who got this wrong?

We have asked for minutes- NONE.

WHY?

We will in time find out who is accountable and responsible for an major catastrophic event.
