January 2025
SOAS has studied 115 pages of information in great depth – so that unless you wish to you do not need to!
The Department of Health also produced an easi-read version 11 page one. Once again we will share the links for whose who wish to.
The most important thing to know that this consultation in every way plan to downgrade the services in our hospital and in the minister’s words the “tier” of services provided would change.
South West Acute Hospital would be assured of very ,very little.
See the GENERAL hospital definition…. un-defined services. This week in local Impartial Reporter newspaper, the Health minister is quoted as stating:
“Referring to SWAH as “that hospital,” he insisted it remains an acute facility, adding, “It still has an intensive care unit, type one emergency department, and its future relies on elective overnight stay“

SWAH would be a GENERAL hospital. no assurances for us.
The online consultation is available – attached here is a blank copy
We have previously collated and gathered a presentation of thousands of Forms and presented those to the Department of Health and the Health Trust – impact and Publicity keep us alive as a campaign.
We will attach our thoughts in RED on the consultation Questions for when we host events to help people to take part….
You can use our forms and add your names, phone numbers or emails.
You can adjust if you wish to.
Please feel free to use some if not all of our thoughts!
opportunities for mass signing events will be advertised.
