10,000 patients sent to an overwhelmed ED hours away in need of Emergency Surgery.
10 pateints per day. 10,011 patients from our community have been forced to travel to be treated in Altnagelvin since surgery in SWAH was suspended.

The minister’s intervention comes amidst a tidal wave of community opposition to the Western Trust proposals. Firstly, the Trust had to cancel their only Fermanagh-based consultation event and then their second public consultation event scheduled for Derry/Londonderry.
